Whistler Welcome Week

Every year WCSS runs a week of events designed to welcome new arrivals to Whistler.  Usually the third week in November, these events include a Scavenger Hunt & BBQ, Movie Night, Pancake Breakfast hosted by Millennium Rotary, Free Yoga sessions, a LUNA pool party, Stand Up Comedy Night, Volunteer Fair and the main event, Jill Ackhurst Community Welcome Dinner.

MONDAY NOVEMBER 14TH, 2011

Pancake Breakfast: 10:00AM - Noon, $3. Fill up on pancakes & juice at the firehall, compliments of Whistler's Millenium Rotary.  They cook, you eat and proceeds go to funding Welcome Week costs!

The Jill Ackhurst Community Welcome Dinner $5, 5pm at the Conference Centre Sea to Sky Ballroom: This is the famous dinner FOR NEW SEASONAL WORKERS in Whistler! Celebrity Whistler Chefs design and cook a slow-food menu that features food grown as locally as possible. This delicious event uses locals to host tables of up to 10 people, make sure you ask them for the secrets they know about the community!  Mingle with locals during the Business/Community Group Exhibitor Fair before dinner.  Doors open at 5pm at the Whistler Conference Centre.This event ALWAY sells out, so get your tickets as soon as possible at the Visitor's Info Centre or Sammy's Snacks (WB HOUSE).
