Sponsorship-How to Help 

The Sponsorship/Donor Recognition program is designed to offer donations of under $1,000 a tax receipt OR acknowledgement on our website and the yearly 'Thank You' Advertisement.

Any donations of $1000 or more receive various forms of recognition including title sponsorship for programs.  The information below references the Re-Build-It Project in particular but applies to all Sponsorship/Donor recognition.

We are looking for title sponsors for the FOOD BANK, PEER EDUCATORS, SNOW, THE INTERIM HOUSING PROJECT AND OTHER SIGNATURE PROGRAMS.  If your business would like to adopt a program, contact Greg McDonnell at greg@mywcss.org or 604-932-1407.

Donate to the Re-Build-It Centre “Build” Campaign, and be recognized community-wide as a role model for environmental and social sustainability in Whistler! To recognize our valued donors we will be growing a “donor” tree at the store site. Help ‘grow’ the donor tree!

Major Grants of $50,000 and more will receive large name display on the trunk and large branches of this tree painted on the exterior of the building.  Each grantor of $1000 or more will have their name displayed on a beautiful blossom, permanently displaying their build “green” commitment to Whistler.  The growing tree will celebrate how the community came together at all levels to make another move toward true sustainability.  As well, there will be room to add future years of program donors through our “sustainable giving” program.

All donations of $10,000 or more receive sponsor name or logo in WCSS newsletters and website.  Size of donation indicates placement.  All sponsors are named in all Thank-You Ads and flyers. All in-kind and monetary donations over $25 will receive a tax-deductable receipt

•  Prominent naming opportunities ($150,000 +)

·          Prominent logo and / or name recognition on all project signage ($100,000+)

·          Dedicated smaller project signage on site ($50,000 +)

·          Logo included in all project materials and advertising for 1 year ($25,000+)

·          On-site signage opportunities and your logo on the Whistler Community Services  

  Website ($10,000+)

·          Recognition in all news releases and media kits ($5,000 +)

• Charitable tax receipt and mention in thank you ad ($1,000 +)

Project Founder (Putting Down Roots): $150,000 +

Do you wish to have your name associated with the RBI project permanently? Are you the founding sponsor that will ensure this project gets built? Do you wish the community to see your commitment to the green building movement? Your logo will be displayed at all WCSS events, on the front page of the web-site, and all staff shirts will wear your logo in conjunction with the RBI logo.  All advertising regarding the program will carry your logo. As well, inside the store a wall banner will advertise your generous support for this community environmental program!  Sponsor exclusivity available for donors who wish to fund the entire project. The RMOW is a project founder for offering the land for the project to be built!

Building Partner (A Solid Trunk): $100,000 +

You are a building partner fundamental to the success of the Re-Build-It Centre! Your name will become a part of the tree truck, and will also be carried on an indoor banner with any other building partners. As well, you receive logo attachment on all advertising with WCSS and the RBI.  Your name or your corporate name will be displayed with all WCSS advertising for the following year as a “Building Partner” in the project.

Project Associate (Community Branches):$50,000+

You are the community supporter who believes that sustainability can grow, that Whistler can continue towards zero waste and that the project will nurture the community in return. You believe in the work WCSS does in social services in the valley and believes in investing in community growth!  Your donation will ensure the project is completed and for that donation also will receive permanent naming of a large branch, all program and WCSS advertising will carry your logo and a link to your website as well as all other advertising options.

WCSS Friend (Branching Out): $10,000 +

Continue to grow the tree with a donation that extends the reach of the project and helps meet needs for the Re-Build-It Centre. Growing the project toward completion, your generous donation entitles you to permanent recognition on a limb of the tree, and acknowledgement in all our ‘Thank You’ Advertising. We also will issue you a charitable tax receipt.

Friend of the Re-Build-It (Flowering Gifts): $1,000 +

Each gift of $1000 toward the Re-Build-It Centre is celebrated in a colourful blossom with your name engraved in the midst.  Each blossom represents the beautiful future of this worthwhile environmental program that also helps beautify our valley.  Your name will remain permanently on site, and as a “Friend” of the RBI, you are also entitled to a 50% off merchandise card that can be used at either the Re-Build-It Centre or our sister store, the Re-Use-It Centre for one year.

Sustainable Giving Partner: (Crossing the Seasons)$50 month

The Sustainable Giving Partner purchases 4 leaves, one for each season, in the colors light green, dark green, red, and  brown. Their name is engraved on each, showing their on-going support for this project and the programs it funds.   The sustainable giving partner donates $25 every month towards the Re-Build-It Centre program to help off-set operating costs and generate more funding for WCSS social service programs.  This donation can also take the form of a once yearly donation of $600. Each Sustainable Giving Partner will receive a yearly charitable tax receipt and acknowledgement in all our “Thank You” Advertising.  The Sustainable Giving Partnership is also available for each of the other 26 programs offered by Whistler Community Services Society

Program Partner (Growing Whistler Greener): $75+

Each donation of $75 or more will purchase the ‘Program Partner’ of the Re-Build-It Centre a green leaf, to symbolize your commitment to environmental change and growth in Whistler. Your name will be featured on the leaf and you can be proud that you are contributing to Whistler’s sustainability. As well you will be issued a charitable tax receipt.  You can buy as many leaves as you would like!

A copy of the Re-Build-It Donor Tree will also be posted on our website.

The onsite Donor Tree with either be painted on the side of the building in front of the parking spots, or be constructed as a 3 dimensional ‘sculpture’ attached to the building.
