Outreach Services

WCSS provides free confidential outreach support for youth and adults. Contact us if you are experiencing challenges with hunger, housing, drug and alcohol misuse, employment, eating disorders, relationship violence, roommate conflict, mental health or homesickness.

Outreach Program Manager, Claire Mozes and Outreach Workers Davin Moore and Jackie Dickinson are available to meet with anyone in Whistler who requires confidential listening and advising. The Outreach Workers are trained to make referrals to multiple resources within the community.  As well, the PEER EDUCATOR PROGRAM runs yearly with young adults aged 18-29 and youth in the Whistler High School during the school year.  To volunteer for this program talk to Davin 604-938-3902, davin@mywcss.org.

Communities That Care (CTC)

WCSS is a proud regional partner with Communities That Care (CTC). CTC is a Sea to Sky Regional initiative designed to research supported prevention project that engages all areas of the community in promoting the positive development of young people. CTC is a process for measuring levels of risk and protective factors, selecting priorities on which a strategic plan can be focused, and then tracking progress toward desired changes in risk factors, protective factors, and problem behaviors.

WCSS runs cooperative CTC programs including Parenting Wisely (available FREE at the Whistler Public Library), Strengthening Families and coming soon, The Community Trials Intervention Program.  For more information see www.ctcsquamish.com
