WHISTLER RECYCLES IT'S E-WASTE!
The amount of electronic products discarded globally has skyrocketed, with 20-50 million metric tonnes generated every year. Electronic waste (e-waste) now makes up five percent of worldwide municipal solid waste, nearly the same amount as all plastic packaging, but it is much more hazardous.
You can find out more information on the recycling of the products handled through the Return It Electronics program by going to
www.encorp.ca/electonics/productrecycling.ca
Last year the RUI accepted 47 metric tonnes of e-waste !
To find out how e-waste is handled after you drop it off, visit www.rcbc.bc.ca/education/faqs/electronic3
IF IT STILL WORKS, THEN DONATE IT TO THE STORE FOR RESALE!
