As another program associated with the WCSS Outreach Program, the Seniors Needs Action Planner supports and enhances the quality of Whistler Senior residents by improving community linkages within health and social services, develops and delivers opportunities for social interaction and fosters partnerships with other community and health resources. The S.N.A.P. worker will act as an information advocate and visionary information provider and advocate while lobbying for seniors needs within Whistler and the Sea to Sky corridor.
The successful applicant holds a Bachelors Degree in a related Health Services program (preferably Gerontology), a minimum 2 years experience working with seniors or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. They also will have experience or interest in learning how to secure new funding sources and have the ability to work independently and organize work and time efficiently.
16 hours week/ $18 per hour on one year contract.

The successful applicant will have retail experience and/or staff management experience. The Assistant Manager works with the store Manager to provide high levels of staff training in customer service and works to promote a team environment at the store.
Applicants must be physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds.

The successful applicant agrees to take a contract to sell advertising for our Survival Guide. The contract pays $1,000. A knowledge of the Whistler Business Community is an asset along with previous sales experience.

As Community Kitchens coordinator, you are responsible for arranging the various cooking classes that make up the program. A background in nutrition allows you to offer inventive, easy and tasty recipies to groups of up to 10 participants per session. The ideal candidate also has food safe, great organizational and teaching skills and a passion for good food.
